Saturday Night August 27 the Ink’d Out has No Mercy MMA event took place in Brush Colorado. There were 10 fights on the card including one women’s fight, one title fight and four professional fights.

 

Main event: Jeremiah Martinez vs. Anthony Alirez in a professional fight. Immediately Alirez came forward landing hard strikes that hurt, then dropped Martinez. On the ground Alirez flurried with punches but Martinez scrambled back to standing to land some punches of his own. Alirez created some distance and again landed a combination that dropped Martinez. One follow up punch on the ground got Alirez the KO win at :31 of round one.

 

Co-Main event: Sammy Rind vs. Tommy Thompson in a professional fight. Thompson ducked a punch and got the clinch to set up a takedown. On the ground Thompson took full mount and Rind inexplicably verbally submitted giving Thompson the submission victory at :36 of round one.

 

Mike Moser vs. Henry Solis in a professional fight. Solis came forward and landed a series of punches that dropped Moser. Solis signaled Moser to get to his feet and Moser did. Solis landed one punch that dropped Moser and one punch on the ground that landed flush and the referee stopped the bout giving the KO victory to Henry Solis at : 21 of round one.

 

Andrew Hoogeboom vs. Nick Laney in a professional fight. The fighters traded strikes from the outside including a head kick by Laney before clinching against the cage and trading knee strikes. Laney scored a lateral drop takedown and scrambled from side control to full mount to finally settle in back control. From there Laney used his GNP to set up the fight winning RNC with the tapout coming at 2:51 of round one.

 

All of the rest of the fights were in the elimination division.

 

J.T. Hudson vs. Chad Romero for the Ink’d Out lightweight elimination MMA title. The fighters threw punches to get the clinch early and when it hit the mat Hudson enjoyed top position to work GNP while Romero was active with submission attempts. The fighters briefly went to standing, then hit the mat again where they traded positions, submission attempts and GNP until the round ended. Round two had the fighters standing toe-to-toe trading very hard punches to open the round. Romero then shot for a takedown and Hudson worked for an inverted triangle choke that Romero escaped. For the rest of the round Hudson controlled position from the top and worked strikes while Romero tried to escape. Round three saw more toe-to toe action before it hit the mat and Hudson worked to top position. The action slowed and the referee stood the fighters. Romero shot for a takedown that Hudson stuffed. Romero secured full guard and Hudson worked GNP until he was swept and both fighters looked for and defended against ankle and leg locks until the bell ended the fight. The scorecards were read and the title winner by unanimous decision was J.T. Hudson.

 

Katrina Teer vs. JJ Aldrich. Almost all of round one was a clinch against the cage with both fighters showing solid Muay Thai skills. Aldrich scored a takedown and had mount to work GNP until Teer scored a sweep. Aldrich tried for back control but Teer shook her off and closed the round with GNP from half mount. Round two saw more good clinch action before Teer got a takedown and worked GNP until the fighters were stood due to inactivity. Aldrich tried to set up a takedown, but Teer controlled the throw and from side control she transitioned to full mount to end the round working solid GNP. Round three had good striking from the outside by both before Aldrich scored a takedown looking to set in a triangle choke. Teer escaped the submission attempt and spent the rest of the round working between improving her position and landing solid GNP. The scorecards were read and the winner by unanimous decision was Katrina Teer.

 

Mike Renalletti vs. Tyson Grippen. The fighters hit the mat early and Renalletti set in a very tight triangle choke and Grippen countered with four big slams before escaping the choke to work GNP before the fighters worked to standing. The rest of the round played out with Renalletti trying for a takedown and Grippen working for a standing guillotine choke. Round two had an immediate clinch with Renalletti getting a takedown into mount to work solid GNP before Grippen escaped to standing. The fight hit the mat again and after securing back control with a body triangle Grippen finished the round working between RNC attempts and GNP. From bell to bell, round three played out with the fighters clinched against the cage with Grippen working punches and defending against the unrelenting takedown attempts of Renalletti. The scorecards were read and the winner by split decision was Tyson Grippen.

 

Ryan Gould vs. Chris Pelton. The fighters immediately clinched and Pelton landed strong knees. Gould clinched and got a takedown then transitioned to full mount. Pelton scored a sweep and the fighters scrambled to standing. On their feet Pelton landed punches including a final overhand right to get the TKO win at 1:20 of round one.

 

Alvin Tyon vs. Sam Bedolla. Bedolla stalked forward across the cage, landed an overhand right that dropped his opponent and the follow up GNP got him the TKO win at :16 of round one.

 

Zac Hare vs. Dominick Garkow. The fighters clinched after circling and Hare got a takedown, but the fighters were stood when the action slowed. There was a fast exchange before Hare again got a takedown and closed out the round working GNP from the Crucifix position. Round two began with Garkow throwing a jumping kick and Hare staggering him with a counter punch. Hare then got a takedown and began his GNP attack. After again getting the Crucifix position Hare flurried with punches and the referee stopped the fight giving Hare the TKO win at 2:45 of round two.

 

“Of The Night” moments.

 

Submission Of The Night goes to Nick Laney for his fight ending RNC that he sank in using only one arm.

 

KO/TKO Of The Night goes to Henry Solis for his fight that ended in a KO in :21 seconds with his opponent unable to throw a single technique.

 

Fight Of The Night goes to J.T. Hudson and Chad Romero for their title fight that showcased the heart, grappling skills and conditioning of both fighters.
